A 41-year-old man, who was undergoing treatment at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for a grievous head injury sustained in an assault, died on Saturday.

The deceased, Biju of Njavelikonam in Kilimanoor, was bludgeoned by Rajeev, who hails from the same locality, following an argument on November 17.

According to the police, the brawl had taken place after Biju refused to permit his daughter to marry Rajeev. This enraged the accused, leading him to allegedly attack Biju using a stone. Rajeev was apprehended from a hideout on the same day. He is currently remanded in judicial custody.
