MG Select, the newly launched luxury brand channel by JSW MG Motor India, has unveiled the MG Cyberster. The Cyberster is an electric vehicle that reinterprets the iconic 1960s MG B Roadster and incorporates cutting-edge technology and innovative design. The vehicle is set for a grand launch in January 2025.

With the MG Cyberster, the carmaker is set to introduce electric scissor doors in an EV in India. The doors are operated via a single-touch button located on the interior console, key fob, and each door. These doors boast features like dual radar sensors for safety during opening and closing, and an anti-pinch bounce-back system to protect users from accidental injuries. The doors can open and close in a rapid five seconds, the company claims.

The Cyberster blends retro styling cues from the classic MG B Roadster with a bold, futuristic silhouette. Its low-slung profile, sharp lines, and scissor doors deliver a commanding presence on the road. The EV promises lightning-fast acceleration, redefining what modern roadsters can achieve. While the exact performance specifications are yet to be announced, MG Motor emphasizes that this will be their fastest car ever, showcasing unparalleled engineering.

The car also prioritizes luxury, combining a sleek design with premium materials. The electric roadster features a digital-first cabin that is expected to include an advanced infotainment system, a driver-centric cockpit, and plush seating designed to deliver maximum comfort during high-speed adventures.

With its debut, MG Motor India aims to bridge nostalgia for its British motoring heritage with a bold vision for the future of electric mobility.
