East Indian Cucumber cake

The Rose cookie is nothing but the popular achu murukku in Tamil Nadu & achappam in Kerala. It is a sweet variant of murukku made with a mould that casts the murukku in the shape of a rosette.

Chicken Monte Carlo

With the festive season upon us, there is no better time for a special holiday meal to celebrate the season. Ciclo Cafe in Chennai has a special festive menu, that has a warm and comforting French onion soup perfect for the rainy weather, and a Beef Bourguignon, a flavourful beef and mushroom soup served with a side of buttered sourdough toast. Chef Sethupathi, who has worked on this special menu which is a mix of comfort dishes like the soup, and some festive favourites like the sticky toffee pudding and the fig galette, says that he has curated the dishes keeping in mind the season, and to bring alive the spirit of the holidays.  The festive menu will be available at all outlets of Ciclo Cafe till January 12 and for reservations, contact 9791048113.  Chef Sethupathi shares his recipe of chicken monte carlo from the festive menu, a mustard and cheese-stuffed crumbed chicken breast served with mash, buttered vegetables, and a thick mushroom sauce.
