Balakrishna cancels Daku Maharaj pre-release event in Anantapur 

Deeply saddened by the tragic incident, and conveyed condolences to the members of the bereaved families, says the actor via a press release

Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna announced the cancellation of the pre-release event of his movie Daku Maharaj scheduled to be held at Anantapur in observance of sympathy with the families of those who died in the stampede at Tirupati on January 8.

He stated in a press note that he was deeply saddened by the tragic incident, and conveyed condolences to the members of the bereaved families. It would not be appropriate to proceed with the film event in the light of the tragedy, he added.
