We see dancers on stage and get enamoured by their costume, make-up and jewellery. Getting ready for a performance calls for lot of patience and practice. So, we decided to see how they go about this routine.

We meet young and immensely talented Meera Sreenarayanan in the green room as gets ready for her recital at The Music Academy’s 2025 dance festival.

Meera explains the significance of Aharya abhinaya (costume and accessories) in Bharatanatyam.
