Alleging that YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders have encroached on more than 300 acres of land of Hathiram Mutt, Jana Sena Party (JSP) leader Kiran Rayal demanded suspension or transfer of its employees who helped them.

Addressing a press conference in Tirupati on Saturday (February 1, 2025), he said, “Those behind the YSRCP leaders who grabbed lands are still working in the mutt. We will bring this to the notice of Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan.”

“Several devotees of Lord Venkateswara Swamy have given the lands to Hathiram Mutt, and its employees cooperated with the YSRCP leaders in encroaching them completely. Those lands would have been useful for constructing colleges and other educational institutions,” Mr. Rayal said.

He further said, “The JSP cadre will fight until those lands are returned to the mutt. We will submit a detailed report to the Chief Minister and the Deputy CM for the sake of conducting an investigation into the encroachments, and the role of mutt staff.”
