A 29-year-old woman who reportedly jumped from the first floor of a private lodge in an attempt to escape from an alleged sexual assault by three men was admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital on Saturday night.
Police sources said the incident took place around 11 p.m. when the woman, who was one of the employees at the newly opened lodge at Mambetta near Mukkom, was taking rest in her room. She did not suffer any grave injuries, they said.
Three persons, including one of the lodge owners, were booked on Sunday in connection with the incident. Police sources said a detailed investigation was under way under the leadership of a Circle Inspector from the Mukkom police station.
