Majlis College to host inter-zone arts fest from Feb. 22

The inter-zone arts festival of Calicut University will be held at Majlis Arts and Science College, Puramannur, near Valanchery, from February 22 to 26. About 5,000 students from colleges in Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad will take part in the event.

The winners and runners-up from A, B, C, D, F zonal festivals are qualified to compete in the inter-zone. The organisers said that arrangements were being made for the festival at Majlis campus.

Najeeb Kanthapuram, MLA, inaugurated the organising committee office on Thursday (February 6). Youth Congress leaders A.M. Rohit and Riyas Mukkoli were guests at the function. Majlis College principal K.K. Mohammed Kutty, University Syndicate members C.P. Hamza Haji, T.J. Martin and Madhu Ramanattukara, University Union chairperson Nitin Fatima and general secretary Safwan Pathil spoke.
