The State Budget has earmarked ₹270 crore for the Kudumbashree, the State’s poverty alleviation and women empowerment mission.
This is ₹5 crore more than the allocation in the 2024-25 financial year.
Besides, the Budget has set aside ₹119.36 crore for schemes that are being implemented in the State by the Kudumbashree as the nodal agency such as the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban, and the National Urban Livelihoods Mission.
The allocation of ₹270 crore will be earmarked for improving Kudumbashree’s microenterprises, local economic development, microfinance, and agriculture and animal husbandry activities.
An amount of ₹56 crore is set aside as the State share for the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Yojana and its sub schemes implemented by Kudumbashree as nodal agency, ₹30 crore as the State share for PMAY-Urban, ₹10.36 crore for PMAY-Urban, and ₹23 crore as the State share for National Urban Livelihoods Mission.
The Budget earmarked ₹5 crore for enhancement of local production of toys through coordination with the Kudumbashree and micro, small and medium enterprises.
