Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan has called the recent attack on Chilkur Balaji temple priest Rangarajan as an attack on the movement to protect Dharma.

He stated in a message on X on Monday (February 10) he stated that Mr. Rangarajan was dedicated to safeguarding Dharma, preserving temple traditions and maintaining their sanctity and has been fighting for the same.

The police should thoroughly probe the incident in which a mob that owed allegiance to an organization called Rama Rajyam were reportedly involved.

Telangana government must take it seriously, Mr. Kalyan said, while recalling that Mr. Rangarajan gave him valuable suggestions on protection of Sanatana Dharma and when to launch the temple protection movement.
