Members of Tamil Nadu Government Employees’ Association (TNGEA) went on a 24-hour dharna in front of the Collector’s Office here on Monday to press for their charter of demands, including implementation of the Old Pension Scheme.

The association, among other things, demanded entitlements including 21 months pay revision arrears, freeze arrears, and suspended surrender leave. “Our demands have not been addressed for a very long time and we request that these should be conceded at the earliest,” said K. Paul Pandi, District President – TNGEA.
