YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, is facing massive backlash over an inappropriate remark he made on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. Despite issuing an apology, the controversy continues to snowball, leading to singer B Praak pulling out of a scheduled appearance on Ranveer’s podcast.

B Praak took to Instagram to strongly condemn the YouTuber’s statement, calling it “pathetic” and questioning the kind of content being promoted in the name of comedy. “I was supposed to appear on BeerBiceps’ podcast, and we cancelled that. Why? Since we are all seeing how pathetic his thinking is,” he said. The singer also slammed Ranveer for discussing offensive topics under the guise of entertainment, emphasising how such discussions do not align with Indian culture.

Additionally, B Praak criticised the stark contrast between Ranveer’s public persona and his controversial statements. “You promote Sanatan Dharma, you host renowned personalities, spiritual leaders, and yet, your thinking is so shoddy?” he questioned. Urging influencers to be more responsible, he warned against normalising such discussions, especially for younger audiences.

As the outrage grows, an older clip from a live session featuring comedian Tanmay Bhat has also resurfaced. In the viral video, Tanmay is seen calling out Ranveer’s so-called spiritual detachment, labeling him a “views-obsessed capitalist.” He mocked the YouTuber’s claims of renouncing materialistic pursuits while launching new businesses frequently. “Itna jhootha aadmi hai bhai ye baap re (He is such a big liar),” Tanmay remarked.

The controversy began when Ranveer posed an inappropriate and offensive question to a contestant on India’s Got Latent, which sparked widespread criticism. With public outrage mounting and even political figures taking notice, the repercussions for the influencer seem far from over.
