Sensex, Nifty tank over 1% amid foreign fund exodus

Benchmark stock indices Sensex and Nifty tanked more than 1% on Tuesday (February 11, 2025) amid unabated foreign fund outflows and fresh U.S. tariffs that reignited trade war fears. Declining for the fifth day running, the 30-share BSE Sensex dropped 1,018.20 points or 1.32% to settle at a two-week low of 76,293.60. During the day, it tumbled 1,281.21 points or 1.65% to 76,030.59.

PM addresses AI Action Summit, says India ready to share expertise

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the AI Summit in Paris, an event he is co-chairing with French President Emmanuel Macron on February 11, 2025. At least 55 civilians killed by militia fighters in northeastern Congo

Militia fighters killed at least 55 civilians in an attack on a cluster of villages and a camp for displaced people in northeastern Congo, local authorities said Tuesday (February 11, 2025). Violence has surged across eastern Congo, where conflict has raged for decades. More than 120 armed groups are fighting in the region, most for land and control of mines with valuable minerals, while some are trying to protect their communities.
