The body of a minor girl was found in a farm well at Sengattupatti under Thuraiyur police station limits in the district on Monday. The 14-year-old girl was a class IX student of a government school. According to the police, the footwear of the girl was found floating. Based on the information, firefighters retrieved the body. It was sent to Government Hospital in Thuraiyur for autopsy. The Thuraiyur police have registered a case under section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita on a complaint from the girl’s father.
