The 25th edition of the Annual Mobile Biodiversity Festival, popularly known as ‘Patha Pantala Jatara’, organised by the Deccan Development Society (DDS), concluded at Machunoor village in Jharasangham mandal, Sangareddy, on Tuesday.

The theme of the 21-day festival was “Sustainable Agriculture with Old Crops”. Thousands of women participated in a procession of bullock carts decorated with traditional seeds, covering 26 villages and 400 km.

Vice-chairperson of DDS Rukmini Rao said that the organisation had gained international recognition for its efforts to promote local crops.

Women members were felicitated for successfully organising the event. Bikshapathi, assistant director of Agriculture, and Krishna Teja, DDM of NABARD, attended the fest.
