Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will open a new building for the Kozhikode divisional office of the Kerala State Waqf Board on February 15.
According to a release, the new building is located on Sreekanteswaram Temple Road behind EMS Stadium. The event will be held at 11.30 a.m. V. Abdurahiman, Minister for Waqf, and P.A. Mohamed Riyas, Minister for Public Works and Tourism, among others, will be present.
The four-storey building situated on 24 cents is spread across 13,900 square feet. It will have offices of the board chairman and chief executive officer, meeting halls, and guest rooms. The Kozhikode divisional office covers Kozhikode, Kasaragod, Kannur, Wayanad and Malappuram districts and around 8,000 waqf institutions.
