SHRC seeks report from KSRTC on closure of washroom

The State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has sought a report from the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) regarding the closure of a washroom on the premises of the KSRTC East Fort bus stand. SHRC chairperson Alexander Thomas sought the report from the KSRTC CMD, acting on a petition filed by Vizhinjam Vijayan. The Commission directed that the matter be investigated urgently and the report be submitted within three weeks. According to the complaint, another washroom was also similarly locked by the officials at the Vizhinjam KSRTC bus stand.
