Demand to disband Munambam judicial commission

Published - February 11, 2025 10:26 pm IST - KOCHI

The Waqf Samrakshana Samithi has urged the State government to disband the C.N. Ramachandran Nair judicial commission on Munambam as he was listed as an accused in the CSR fund scam.

“The Commission has lost its credibility after Mr. Nair was listed as an accused in the cheating case. Moreover, Mr. Nair had overstepped the Terms of Reference of the Commission. He acted in a partisan manner and pledged his support to a section of people who were party to the dispute. The State government shall act on the Munambam land issue in accordance with court orders and the recommendations of the previous commission report,” demanded a leadership meeting of the organisation.

Sherif Puthenpura, State president of the Samithi, presided.
