JEE-Main result: I was equipped with multiple strategies to crack the exam, says topper from A.P. Sai Manogna

She is one among the 14 all-India toppers who secured 100 percentile in the exam and the only girl to do so

“I am extremely happy. I was confident about my exam preparation, but did not expect to secure 100 percentile,” gushed an elated Sai Manogna, who is one of the 14 all-India toppers in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE (Main)- 2025) Session-I for Paper-I (B.E./B. Tech), the results of which were declared on Tuesday by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Manogna is also the only girl student to secure the top rank at the national level.

The student of Bhashyam IIT Junior College in Guntur district, who hails from Guthikonda in Palnadu district, is all pumped up frisking around her house at , which is buzzing with excitement. Even amidst the celebrations, Manogna has not lost sight of the JEE Advanced exam, scheduled on May 18. “I want to do really well even in the next exam and based on my rank, I’ll join any good IIT in the country,” she said, expressing gratitude to her chemistry teacher A. Sambasiva Rao, who trained her adequately to put her best foot forward in the competitive exam. “Constant support from parents and the institute principal helped me remain focussed on my goal,” she said.

As part of her preparation, Manogna thoroughly prepared across the entire syllabus, understanding different question formats and also focussing on her critical thinking skills. “Among 13 lakh students who appeared for the JEE Mains exam, only 14 students secured 100 percentile and Manogna is one of them. We take immense pride in it,” said M. Anand Kumar, IIT programme head at the Bhashyam institute. “The girl was equipped with multiple strategies and she was able to adapt to unexpected questions. Her confidence and the ability to maintain calm even in the toughest of times is an added advantage,” he said.

The other 13 toppers include five from Rajasthan, two each from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh and one each from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Telangana. Bani Brata Majee from Telangana is the topper from the other Telugu-speaking state. The JEE Main 2025 session-1 for BE/BTech aspirants was conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29, while JEE Main paper 2 (Barch/B.Planning was held on January 30.
