Over the last few days, trains to Prayagraj have been witnessing an unprecedented surge of passengers eager to visit the holy city for the Maha Kumbh

Overcrowded platforms, trains filled to capacity, and devotees desperate to board any available train to reach Prayagraj.

The Sasaram Railway Station in Bihar witnessed these scenes on Wednesday morning. People eager to take a holy dip during the Maha Kumbh on the auspicious occasion of Maghi Purnima began crowding the station since the early hours.

Bihar’s Kaimur also witnessed scenes of overcrowded trains and platforms. Railway Police Force officers were seen trying to persuade passengers not to travel on footboards, risking their lives.

Over the last few days, trains to Prayagraj have been witnessing an unprecedented surge of passengers eager to visit the holy city for the Maha Kumbh.

According to official data, an average of 1.44 crore people have been taking a dip daily in Prayagraj.
