Sriram V. author

Sriram V. studied in Madras, Calcutta and Delhi and now manages his family business from Chennai. Since 1999, he has done considerable work on the history of Chennai and the history of Carnatic Music and writes frequently on these subjects for The Hindu and Madras Musings. He is also one of the co-hosts of the annual Madras Week celebrations, which happen in August. Sriram pioneered the concept of heritage walks in the city of Chennai in 1999. Since 2004, he has been conducting heritage tours elsewhere in India as well. Sriram has authored several books so far on culture, business and arts personalities and on the city of Chennai. He has an active presence on social media.
